The Angler places standard frying pans on a shallow angle which causes
grease to travel away from food as it is being cooked. This results in
a reduction of the fat, calories and cholesterol content of fried food.

Grease Separated from Ground Beef
(Splatter Shield Removed)
Cooks recognize the problem of grease saturating food during cooking.
They attempt to deal with this problem in a number of ways to include.
- Absorbing grease from food using paper towels
- Draining grease from food using a colander or grate
- Rinsing grease from food using hot water
- Removing hardened grease from food after refrigeration
These are reactive solutions that attempt
to deal with the problem after food has been cooked and since the food
has already been saturated with grease they are ineffective, awkward and
messy. In contrast the Frying Pan Angler provides a proactive
solution that is effective since it separates the grease from the food
as it is cooked. Testing has shown that the Angler will separate up to
two ounces of grease containing up to 500 calories from a pound of hamburger.
The Angler virtually eliminates grease splatter by minimizing grease
in the cooking area and covering accumulated grease in the collection
area.
Splatter Shield in Pan
Cooks are familiar with their stovetops being coated with grease splatter
during meal preparation. Currently splatter screens are sold to address
the problem. These screens however interfere with meal preparation since
they cover the entire pan and must be removed to access food. In contrast
the Splatter Shield covers only the small area where grease collects allowing
access to the food as it is cooked.
The Angler allows inexpensive fatty grades of meat to be substituted
for more expensive leaner grades with little difference in fat content
or taste.

Fat from One Pound of Hamburger
and One Pound of Ground Sirloin
By reducing the amount of fat in fried foods, the Angler also lets you
select less costly cuts of meat. For example, compared to Hamburger, ground
sirloin has a significantly lower fat content - but it costs almost twice
as much. Using the Frying Pan Angler, however, you can achieve an ideal
combination – a healthy low-fat product at a lower price. The cost
savings can more than pay for the cost of the Angler after just a few
meals.
The Angler is simple to use and store unlike many cooking appliances
found in the typical home kitchen that are often bulky and difficult to
operate.

Showing Even Heat Distribution
Kitchens today are cluttered with numerous plug-in countertop cooking
devices such as microwaves, food processors, convection ovens, toasters,
grills and rotisseries. Besides taking up precious kitchen counter and
storage space many of these devices have complicated controls that are
confusing to operate. In contrast the Angler is a small lightweight device
that provides the benefits detailed above while operating in a simple
straightforward manner. Additionally, the Angler provides even cooking
(see infrared view above) is safe and easy to use, is easy to store and
is dishwasher safe.
